Monkeys!

 

Hey Jammers, it looks like monkeys are back! The September Monthly gift will also be monkeys-but they will be pets. They look pretty cute if you ask me :D

 

 

There is also a Monkeys Only Party now. Also, in Sarepia Forest, there is a new "Treetop Garden store". It well sell member and non member plants, along with a lot of beta plants. There is also a new ticket shop at the Summer Carnival (which is ending soon), that you can spend gems to buy tickets. The prices are listed below:

 

1,000 tickets - 500 gems

2,000 tickets - 1,000 gems

5,000 tickets - 2,500 gems

 

Pretty helpful if your not fond of carnival games!

Also, in a few more weeks (most likely the next update), the new den from the den contest will come out! From the pictures that used to be at Jammer Central, I think it's going to be some kind of gigantic golden palace.

Rare Lei Necklace

 

Hola people, todays rare item is the Rare Lei Necklace. It can be found in Jamaa Towship at the Jam Mart Clothing for 400 gems. Personally, I was hoping for an old beta item, but I guess Lei's are cool too........ .-.

Maintenance Updates?

Hiya people, Animal Jam seems to be having a few problems this week! I have experienced 2 maintenance updates, but there might have been more. Hopefully the "pesky phantoms" aren't the reason for this, but you never know. Also, people that are reading this, please start leaving more comments! I will try my best to answer any of your questions!

Rare Seaweed Hair

Hey ppl, todays rare item is Rare Seaweed Hair, which can be found underwater at Bahari Bargins for 700 gems. These prices are really getting out of hand.... .-.

New Dens and Another Blog!

Hey people, a new update occurred this Thursday! It includes a new den, called the Enchanted Hollow, and I think it's supposed to be a bunny warren. Sadly, it is 7,000 gems :(

Turtles can also go underwater now, so they are they first land and sea pets! It was a good idea if you ask me. Also at the carnival, there is a new game called Carnival Darts, which looks interesting. And, to me the best news is that it looks like Animal Jam's shamans are coming back! Shamans are kind of like the mascots for the all the original animals on Animal Jam. Apparently, they went on a "quest", and are coming back soon. Here is a list of there names:

Those are all of the shamans so far, because there aren't underwater ones. But to go on about the newspaper, jammers have donated 90 MILLION gems so far to help endangered animals! Pretty amazing, but we still have to donate another 10 million for monkeys to come back, but we're close. Also now, on your settings bar, you can see which server your on, and you can change your mouse to normal, or the wooden one.

Finally, about that new blog. My good friend whom I know in real life, know as sabelle768 on Animal Jam, has decided to make a blog. It's about Minecraft and Animal Jam, so along with this blog, I advise you to read it! The blog web address is to be found below:

New Rare Monday Posts

Hey guys, Fuzzy20151 here, I decided to make Rare Monday Posts. Along with these new posts, you can see a list of all the Rare Monday Items on the page Weekly Rare Items. It shows all of the Rare Monday Items, and which ones had already come out before. I feel like I'm on a talk show because this is so boring, but I wanted to get the point across. Today's Rare Item (8/13/12) are Rare Homemade Wings.

There pretty cool if you ask me, and apparently everyone else thinks so to, because they're wearing them. I will do this every Monday (unless I am not there for some reason), but it will be later in the day because I have school next week -.-

Pet Turtles and New Update

Hey, it looks like something interesting happened! Well, for this new update, pet turtles came out! You can buy them at the pet shop in Appondale,  and also at the brand new pet party! You can only go there with a pet, so sorry non members! At the party, you can buy kittens, puppies, frogs, turtles, snakes, butterflies, ducks and hamsters! There is also a "special" pet stop, where you can get rare clothing for your pets. There is also a pet wash there, just like the one at Crystal Sands.
Also, at the Summer Carnival, everything is on sale for half price! It's very helpful when your trying to get the large plushies, or the usual 15,000 ticket clothing. And, for the month of August, Golden Phantom Statues are the monthly gift.
